Services Offered

Colourful Treasures provides event styling and decoration services including, but not limited to:

  • Prop hire for photo backdrops and themed displays

  • Balloon decorations

  • Floral arrangements (real and artificial)

  • Candles and decorative lighting

  • Full venue styling for birthdays, baby showers, gender reveals, christenings, weddings, and other events

Booking & Payments

  • A 50% non-refundable retainer is required to secure your booking and reserve your event date. This confirms Colourful Treasures’ commitment to your event.

  • The remaining balance is due no later than 7 days prior to the event date.

  • If payment is not received on time, Colourful Treasures reserves the right to cancel the booking and retain the deposit.

  • Bookings are only confirmed once both the retainer and signed agreement are received.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • Colourful Treasures is committed to providing exceptional service in a timely manner. Unfortunately, when the hirer cancels without giving enough notice, it prevents Colourful Treasurers from booking the allocated date and time to other clients, causing a foreseeable loss.

  • The 50% retainer is non-refundable under any circumstances, for cancellation by the client.

  • In the event of a cancellation:

    • If notice is given more than 14 days before the event, you may transfer the retainer to a future date (subject to availability).

    • If cancelled within 14 days, the retainer is forfeited and a new one is required for rebooking.

  • If Colourful Treasures must cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, a full refund will be issued or an alternative solution offered.

  • Clients may request to reschedule their event, subject to availability and written notice.

  • Requests to reschedule must be made at least 14 days prior to the original event date.

  • If the new date is available, your booking (including the 50% retainer) will be transferred at no additional cost.

  • If the new date is not available, the original booking will be treated as a cancellation and the retainer will be forfeited.

  • A rescheduling fee may apply if:

    • The request is made within 14 days of the event, or

    • The new date requires major changes to the original design, location, or logistics.

Venue Access & Requirements

  • Colourful Treasures provides styling services at a variety of venues, including private residences, backyards, function halls, and commercial event spaces.

  • It is the client’s responsibility to ensure clear access to the setup area, any delays caused by lack of access, venue restrictions, or unprepared spaces may result in an incomplete setup. Colourful Treasures will not be held responsible for any resulting impact on the event.

  • Bump-in (set up) and bump-out (packdown) times must be confirmed and accurate, as we work within a tight schedule to accommodate multiple bookings. Delays or last-minute changes may affect your setup or incur additional fees. Clear access and timing help us deliver the best possible result for your event and others.

  • For home or backyard events:

    • Please ensure pets are secured and any obstacles (e.g. vehicles, outdoor furniture, uneven surfaces) are cleared prior to our arrival.

    • Power access and shade/weather cover (especially for balloon longevity) must be available if required.

  • In the case of adverse weather conditions (including rain, strong winds, or extreme heat), Colourful Treasures reserves the right to refuse outdoor setup if it poses a safety risk or may damage props, balloons, or decorations.

    • It is the client’s responsibility to have an indoor or sheltered backup location available for setup.

    • No refunds will be issued due to weather-related cancellations if no alternate suitable location is provided.

  • The client must also ensure the event space is safe and accessible for our team to unload and install decorations.

Hire Items & Props

  • All hired items remain the property of Colourful Treasures at all times.

  • Clients are responsible for ensuring items are not damaged, stolen, moved or removed without consent.

  • Any loss or damage will be charged to the client at replacement value.

  • Props must not be used in a way that may cause harm or pose safety risks.

Balloons & Faux Floral Decorations

  • Balloon colours may vary slightly depending on availability, lighting, and supplier batch.

  • Balloon displays are intended for temporary use and may be affected by weather, heat, or other environmental conditions beyond our control.

  • All Faux floral decorations used by Colourful Treasures are of the highest grade. While we aim to match your desired colour palette and theme, specific flower types may vary depending on stock availability.

  • Substitutions will always be made with the overall style, tone, and visual impact of the setup in mind.

Candles & Fire Safety

  • If candles are used, they will be displayed with proper safety measures.

  • Colourful Treasures is not liable for any fire damage or injury resulting from misuse after setup is complete.

  • It is the responsibility of the venue and/or event host to monitor any open flames during the event.

Video/Photography & Social Media

  • Colourful Treasures reserves the right to take professional videos and photographs of the setup upon completion, for promotional use on our social media platforms, website, and marketing materials.

  • We reserve exclusive first rights to film and photograph the completed setup immediately after styling is finished. For a period of 10 minutes following completion, no guests, photographers, videographers, or vendors should interfere with or obstruct the setup.

  • This time ensures we can capture the design as intended, without disruptions or alterations.

  • If you do not wish for your event setup to be photographed or shared, please notify us in writing at the time of booking.

Liability

  • Colourful Treasures is not liable for:

    • Delays due to traffic, weather, or circumstances beyond our control

    • Injury, loss, or damage caused by third parties or venue staff

    • Allergic reactions to flowers or balloon materials

  • Clients agree to indemnify Colourful Treasures from any claims arising from misuse of hire items or decorations.

Insurance & Liability Coverage

  • Colourful Treasures holds Public Liability Insurance up to $20,000,000 AUD, covering accidental injury or damage caused by our team or equipment during the setup and styling process.

  • This insurance does not cover:

    • Damage caused by guests, venue staff, or other vendors.

    • Accidents occurring after the setup is completed and we have left the site.

  • Clients and venue owners are responsible for ensuring general safety and supervision of the event space once setup is complete.

Change of Venue or Address

  • If the client changes the event venue or address after the booking has been confirmed:

    • The client must notify Colourful Treasures as soon as possible in writing.

    • We will assess whether we can accommodate the new location based on availability, distance, and logistics.

  • We do not guarantee availability for venue changes, especially if the new address affects setup time, travel distance, or overlaps with other bookings.

  • If we are unable to accommodate the new location, the booking will be treated as a cancellation, and the 50% retainer will remain non-refundable.

  • If we are able to proceed, an additional fee may apply depending on the new location and any changes in setup requirements.

Design Changes & Redesign Fees

  • Once a design concept has been approved and the 50% retainer has been paid, the agreed design, theme, and styling elements are considered final.

  • If the client requests a significant change to the design (e.g. colour scheme, theme, prop selection, layout) after approval and payment, a redesign fee will apply.

  • The redesign fee will be quoted based on the scope of changes requested and additional planning time required.

  • All redesign requests must be made no later than 14 days prior to the event date. Changes requested within 14 days of the event may not be possible or may incur additional late-change surcharges.

  • Colourful Treasures reserves the right to decline last-minute changes if they affect scheduling, logistics, or availability of materials.
